Stroke Caregiver Connection, New 360 Resource for Care Partners of Stroke Survivors, Launches with Publications, Consultation, Education, Advocacy and More

St. Louis, January 14, 2026 – Stroke Caregiver Connection, a new 360, all-in-one resource for care partners of stroke survivors, has been launched by Lana Wilhelm, retired Registered Nurse, Certified Case Manager and spouse of a stroke victim. As both a healthcare provider with over 40 years’ experience, and a spouse thrust into the role of caregiver, Lana brings a unique perspective to the challenges and struggles care partners face on a daily basis as they navigate their new normal. Following her husband’s stroke in 2021, she published the books Stroke and the Spouse and Stroke and the Caregiver. Both books, comprehensive guides for care partners, are designed as a response to the limited resources and information available for caregivers during a critical time when they are most in need of support.

Through speaking engagements, online content, education, advocacy and more, Stroke Caregiver Connection expands on the invaluable insights, practical guidance and real-world strategies found in Lana’s books. Her individualized, personalized consultation services are designed to help fellow caregivers navigate the healthcare environment through customized plans tailored specifically for their unique situations. “Caregivers are far too often neglected and forgotten,” says Wilhelm. “I know firsthand how terrifying, lonely and overwhelming it can be when you are suddenly expected to take on this incredibly demanding role for which you have little preparation or experience. I am proud to dedicate Stroke Caregiver Connection to my fellow caregivers. I hope they will find answers and comfort and, most importantly, they will realize that a caring network exists and they are not alone.” A St. Louis native, Lana Wilhelm was a registered nurse for over 40 years, caring for patients in the Trauma/Neurological ICU. As a Case Manager, she focused on helping patients transition from hospital to home. Wilhelm holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University and a Masters Degree in Health Administration from the University of Missouri. Wilhelm and her husband, Rick, have been married for over 40 years. They have two children, two granddaughters and three grand dogs.
